When these Fremantle homeowners came to Cover Co, they were not looking for a basic outdoor cover. They wanted to turn an underused area into a space they could actually live in.
The goal was to create something that felt like a natural extension of the home. A place to sit, entertain and relax through more of the year. That meant a standard louvre setup was never going to be enough on its own.
More than a roof
To make the space work the way it needed to, Cover Co designed and delivered a full outdoor room built around an automated Lumex louvre roof system.
The project included automated Ziptrak blinds to enclose the space, LED strip lighting, a ceiling fan and Heatstrip heaters. The result is a space that can open up when the weather is good and close in when it is not.
Handled properly from start to finish
This was not just a product install.
Cover Co managed council approvals and coordinated the electrical and drainage works as part of the project. This internal management protected the homeowners from the exhaustion of a prolonged construction phase.
A space that gets used
What was once an outdoor area with limited use is now a proper extension of the home. This type of total conversion represents a significant investment in the property’s value. By adding climate control and automated protection, the homeowners have gained a permanent increase to their home’s usable floor plan. While every project is bespoke, a full-room conversion typically sits within the mid-to-high value add for homes, thanks to the Australian love of multi-use outdoor spaces.
