The Dolphin Discovery Centre is one of Bunbury’s tourism draw cards, offering visitors dolphin cruises, interactive experiences and aquariums as well as function spaces and more.
What was the issue?
On the 1st floor of the Discovery Centre is the new Sunset Bar, overlooking beautiful Koombana Bay. But of course, where you have beautiful ocean views, you also have wind.
David, the CEO of the Dolphin Discovery Centre contacted Cover Co South West to provide a weather protection solution that would ensure all visitors could enjoy the bay, no matter the prevailing weather.
What did we do?
We took David through our solutions and landed on our Outdoor Ziptrak Blinds, fitted with HVG 99% UV block PVC mesh; the perfect answer to the problem!
We installed 3 x motorised blinds each over 5m long, with a drop of 2800mm all fitted with HVG ‘Graphite’ fabric with the pelmets, tracks and heavy-duty bottom rails. All fixtures were powder coated in ‘Monument’ to match the colour of the existing balcony.
How’s it going?
The Sunset Bar not only looks fantastic, but visitors are now able to enjoy the location all year round regardless of the unpredictability of the South West weather.
